Taste and See

Over the last year I have lost a considerable amount of weight. Even though I am able to chew and swallow it is not an efficient process. My tongue basically just takes up space in my mouth. It doesn't move until it inconveniently locks up, makes me choke and Lou has to do a finger sweep to rescue me! I finally surrendered! We contacted my ALS team to get the authorization for nutritional Liquid meals through insurance.

My friend Diana had sent me information about Kate farms who makes organic meals for feeding tube use. The founders daughter with cystic fibrosis was the inspiration for developing healthy and sustaining products. The only drawback to this lifestyle change for me is the absence of flavors. I am eagerly waiting for Willy Wonka to perfect his three course meal gum concept. Until then, I have a more important taste to develop.

O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

Ps. 34:8 (NASB)

Synonyms of TASTE include: experience, encounter, come face to face with and meet. Just like the founders of Kate Farms wanted to give their daughter what she needed my Heavenly Father feels the same way about me. It is time to get rid of the bad taste in my mouth of distress. The nutritional shakes that God provided will daily remind me that I still have much to experience about His goodness! Taste and See!

Discover for yourself that the LORD is kind. Come to him for protection, and you will be glad!

Psalm 34:8 (CEV)
