Since was Kim was paralyzed from the mouth down this eye tracking and eye control  technology made it possible for her computer to know exactly where she was looking. When eye tracking and eye control are combined with speech generating devices, communication opportunities are enabled for individuals, like Kim who had special needs. This amazing technology allowed Kim to be able to communicate to her family and friends and to feel connected to the world around her.
