Beautiful Reflection

Have you ever met someone and over time your initial view of them changes? Jessa and I talked about the librarian she had in second grade. Jessa absolutely loved her. Mrs. Betz was friendly, kind, had a sweet voice, and very pretty. However, the more time Jessa spent with her the more beautiful she became. Mrs. Betz's inner qualities magnified her outer beauty!

When Moses had been with the Lord on Mount Sinai his face shown. It was radiant because he had been with God. No amount of exfoliation, makeup, botox, surgery, accessories, creams or diet will make a bigger difference than spending time with the Lord. Sparkling, caring eyes and a genuine smile can't be bought or constructed. They come from the heart.

Life is full of challenges and complicated situations. Over time worry, insecurities, depression, anger, stress and selfishness can take its toll on our face. Trying to cover it up doesn't hide the truth. Some of the most beautiful people I have know have changed my initial first impression. On the contrary, I believe that no matter how much time elapses that Jessa will always think Mrs. Betz is beautiful. Mrs. Betz demonstrates...True beauty is a result of reflecting your beautiful God (inside and out)!

Proverbs 31:29-30

"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised
