"TRUST ME"

Spoiled!

I was taken back by the movie Aladdin. When I saw Aladdin reach out his hand to Jasmine from the magic carpet and dare her, "TRUST ME," my heart stopped! That is exactly what I want God to do for me! I want Him to look me in the eyes, take my hand and go with me! I know that if He would ask me that way I would gladly go!

For some reason it is so much easier to take on life with someone by my side! However, many situations in life are not team sports. God seems to like it best when He is taking me on GRAND ADVENTURES! He knows that as long as I can depend on the friends and family around me I am less likely to share with Him. He wants me to trust Him and ENJOY Him!

The ALS adventure that I am on with the Lord is rather unique! The only way that I am able to communicate with you is with my eye gaze computer at home. Dialogues are not really timely or elaborate. If you see me out in public I am a silent observer enjoying what is going on around me! For the last two years I have learned to talk from my heart to the Lord! He not only understands what I am saying but knows how I feel, understands and identifies with me! I am NOT lonely because the Best Counselor is with me 24 hours a day and He is holding my hand!

Acts 17:22-27 (TLB)

So Paul, standing before them at the Mars Hill forum, addressed them as follows:

“Men of Athens, I notice that you are very religious, for as I was out walking I saw your many altars, and one of them had this inscription on it—‘To the Unknown God.’ You have been worshiping him without knowing who he is, and now I wish to tell you about him.

“He made the world and everything in it, and since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples; and human hands can’t minister to his needs—for he has no needs! He himself gives life and breath to everything, and satisfies every need there is. He created all the people of the world from one man, Adam, and scattered the nations across the face of the earth. He decided beforehand which should rise and fall, and when. He determined their boundaries. “His purpose in all of this is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.

Pray for me as I daily let the Lord look me in the eyes, take my hand and ask me to trust Him! I know that I don't want to miss out on all that He has planned for me! Every moment of my day is planned especially for me to share with Him. The ups, downs and even the loops that make me sick to my stomach are what I get to explain, in detail, with the Lord. He UNDERSTANDS, HOLDS MY HAND and SMILES! This is what He always wanted!
