Broken Tooth

When I attempt to move every one of my muscle from head to toe seizes. A year ago, in the middle of the night, I was trying to roll from my side to my back. As my body was moving I heard a crunching sound in my mouth. My jaw muscles clinched so tightly that I broke a tooth. It was my back molar and since it didn't hurt and you couldn't see it I didn't get it checked. That is until recently the nerve started to twang!

After losing several nights of sleep I asked my husband to call the local dentist. I have not been going to the dentist since the ALS symptoms kicked in. Difficultly swallowing, excessive saliva, the logistics with my wheelchair, my involuntary body muscle movements, and not being able to communicate all made me afraid to get my teeth cleaned let alone getting a tooth extracted. In my mind it wasn't if something would go wrong it was only when.

I am excited to report that God developed the ultimate Dentist Dream Team in Saluda for me! From the x-rays, cleaning, and extraction everything went smoothly. My broken tooth nerve was creating the incentive to get me beyond my fears. You would think that I would be more mature after seeing God take care of countless problems for me over the years! I am so thankful that God is patient. He waited a year for me to get up the courage to step out in faith, and in His mercy He provided!

Ephesians 3:20
