Joe and Jessa do you remember when I would hide your Easter baskets and send you on a Riddle Treasure Hunt to find them? I always enjoyed watching you figure the clues and run around trying to find the next note. You were always good sports and it was a fun way to make a memory together. In the last month I have been seeing that life is like a TREASURE HUNT.
Years ago I thought life was best described as a TAPESTRY. The Lord was weaving the details of my life and I only saw the threads from under the loom. I would one day understand how it all beautifully worked together. Next I liked the TANDEM BIKE RIDE concept. This reminded me to let the Lord steer and just peddle and trust Him! A ROLLER COASTER RIDE was the next illustration that I embraced. Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns. The ride is much more enjoyable when I believe that it was designed with my best in mind!
Life with ALS has changed the way I view the events in my day! Unfortunately, treasures are not as readily evident during times of struggle. However, I have come to the conclusion that every single struggle comes with a CLUE. The TREASURE HUNT that I am on is bringing me closer to God. He is revealing to me more about his peace, strength, comfort and will, that I never knew before. Your struggles in life will be different than mine but opportunities none the less. I'm praying that we will daily see CLUES about God, our ultimate TREASURE HUNT!
When I was working on this blog a dear friend from Texas made a special delivery. Someone who I never met went and bought me luxurious thoughtful presents, and boxed them in a literal TREASURE CHEST! Thank you for being a beautiful part of my journey! This CLUE was fun!
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
