Sweet Dreams

Joseph and Jessa, I was awake at 3:30 Easter Sunday morning. I usually don't have a problem sleeping but sometimes ALS gets the best of my muscles. This particular morning the muscles in my legs were randomly and painfully locking up. Each cramp caused my legs to shake and take my breath away. As I laid there waiting for the spasms to stop a thought hit me.
If I could travel back in time to any moment it would be the resurrection of Jesus. This has to be the most important aspect of my faith. When Jesus rose from the dead he was breaking the grip of sin on everyone who accepted this gift of Salvation. In the cover of night, with no fanfare or applause Jesus bridged the gap between us and God. Laying in bed that morning I had the incredible desire to be there when Jesus came out of the tomb. Just the two of us standing there sharing a moment. I pictured looking at Him with a humongous smile and whispering, "thank you."
The Bible says at sunrise when the ladies came to anoint Jesus's body the tomb was empty. He broke the curse of sin when it was dark. Usually the situations, problems, and concerns that keep me awake at night are beyond my natural ability to resolve. From now on every time I am awake in the dark of night I am going to virtually time travel. Watching Jesus come out of the tomb is the ultimate display of His power! He smiles back at me, "I am here for you, I got it! Sweet dreams Kimmi! "
Mark 16:6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him."
