You First
Joe and Jessa when I was a little girl a creative LIFE cereal commercial was on TV. Two boys were sitting at the table discussing a bowl of LIFE. It was new and supposedly healthy, they were not sure if they wanted to try it. They push the bowl over to another younger boy, Mikey. He usually doesn't like anything. But Mikey starts devouring the cereal. They get excited, they want some now!
The marketing team for LIFE knew how to win people over to something new. For the most part people are fearful of things that they haven't experienced before. We are interested in hearing what someone else thinks before we act. Knowing that someone we know is ahead of us is comforting. This is especially true when we face a crisis.
When I first found out that I had ALS I wasted time trying to figure out the future . Dealing with ALS was new for me BUT not for God. He had already been orchestrating details to provide. My prayer for you, in difficulties, is that you will see that God has already been at work. In the commercial, Mikey demonstrated that LIFE was good. In reality, when life is devastating, God has gone first to demonstrate His love and that HE is good.
II Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Matthew 6:25-27
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
