Ephraim
MOXIE!
Joe and Jessa, Joseph in the Bible is an excellent illustration of MOXIE! Even after being resented, betrayed, sold, framed, incarcerated, abandoned and forgotten he still came through with flying colors! He was able to look back and see that God had intended everything for good! As amazing as his attitude sounds it gets profoundly even more convicting!
Years before Joseph was reconciled to his father and brothers God gave him a little family of his own. During the seven years of plenty he had two sons. The names he gave his sons reveal the most astounding perspective. He named his first born Manasseh, because God had made him forget his troubles. He named his second son Ephraim, meaning "God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering!"

Joseph's first words when he got out of prison, standing before Pharaoh were, "I cannot do it , but God..." Incredible words after years of humiliation. Any ability, skill, insight, or wisdom he declared it was ultimately God in him! Naming his son Ephraim a couple years later was a further declaration that God was at work! Joseph let go of the right to prove himself and instead gave God full credit IN his suffering! In my most humbling ALS moments I pray that I will always say Ephraim!

Genesis 41:16, 52
16“It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.”
52 Joseph named his second son Ephraim, for he said, “God has made me fruitful in this land of my grief.”
