As I watched the Total Eclipse I thought about the moon.
It was created to reflect the sun.
Faithfully, as the lesser light in the night, it is a reminder that the sun is still there.
During the Total Eclipse darkness we learn more about the sun. We witness solar activities that we don't normally see. Without a word it declares the glory of God.
What a beautiful parallel example of what God desires me to be for Him!
Psalms 19:1-4, 14
1-4 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
