Joe and Jessa my favorite FROZEN song is FIXER UPPER! I can identify with the concept of the song in my own life. I'm a bit of a FIXER UPPER and no one knows this better than you, my family, BUT you still love me. The joy of spending time with family is that I see more areas that I need to work on! The song has a great line, "we need each other to raise us up and round us out." The song emphasizes that people make mistakes but love can bring out their best!

Being together with family is not always comfortable. I think that God definitely has a sense of humor when I see the dynamics of families. It is a recipe for the ultimate ROUNDING OUT! People living with each other, in close proximity, through sicknesses, exhaustion, stressors, and disagreements due to different preferences, temperaments, values and personalities. The kicker is at the holidays when the situation is even more exaggerated with the addition of extended family and friends. The stage is set for optimum growth to take place in every body's life.

When I was a little girl my favorite thing to do at Grandpa's house was to look at his rock collection. He had a cabinet with a dozen shelves filled with smooth, colorful, shiny Agates. He told me that he used a tumbler to bring out their beauty. I couldn't understand how rocks, water and grit tumbling together in a drum could make something so pretty. Today, I am learning to accept this process in my own life. To understand the importance of the great impact others have on me. God is using you to RAISE Me Up and ROUND ME Out!
