Jesus Loves You

When my sister Kristin and I were in high school she was good at everything. She gave her best effort and was extremely successful. She was beautiful, classy, smart, respectful, athletic, disciplined, musical, and surrounded herself with friends who were just like her . She was a great example to those around her BUT she knew that she had to change. Kristin knew that her walk was on point but she was convicted that she didn't share her faith the way she should. When she chose to go to Word of Life she knew that she would be pushed outside her comfort zone.

When Kristin graduated from college she came home to prepare for her wedding. I remember the day she came out of her room wearing a hoodie and jeans. She was heading out the door so I asked her where she was going. She proceeded to tell me that she was heading to the grocery store across the street from the local high school. She had noticed the day before a group of students sitting on bags of dog food out front, on their lunch break, smoking. She was on her way to go sit on the bags of dog food to wait for the students so she could share Jesus with them.
Today I received an email from Kristin. She is asking me to pray for her and team in Romania. They are going out to share the gospel as they offer medical assistance. The other day this ministry team greeted people and shared Jesus with them as they stood in the rain! The area that they are in is not receptive and can be hostile to the gospel.
Kristin is exactly where God wants her to be! She has been able to let go of what came natural to become all that God created her to be! Kristin and her husband Gerald could have been tremendously successful in the USA if they pursued what the world had too offer. Instead, their family has chosen to live their lives driven by concern for people who need to hear about the love of Jesus. Thank you for being an example of what God wants from all of us!
Psalm 91:14-16
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
